Some information about Marc:

In 1974 Marc Sengin graduated from the University of Hartford HARTT COLLEGE OF MUSIC (now The Hartt School) with a degree in Music Ed, as a clarinet major. After graduating, he performed full-time in nightclub & disco bands on sax, flute, clarinet, and vocals, later followed by years of performing in “wedding” bands while maintaining a day job.

Following a revelation in 1987, Marc became passionately involved with fine wine. His quest for knowledge and experience was insatiable. In 1999 he began to recork “Old & Rare” wines for collectors. His tasting experience includes several thousand bottles of these wines, some dating back as far as the mid-19th century. This experience is unique and unequaled and his knowledge is extensive. For over ten years, he represented importers & distributors of very high quality small-production wineries from France, Italy, Australia, Germany, Austria, Portugal, and the US. He has visited many of these wineries, frequently staying at the homes of winemakers. He is available for consultation.

Marc’s love of musical performance was re-initiated in 1995 after years of absence, only now it was something different altogether. He combined his eternal love for singing with self-taught acoustic guitar accompaniment. The selections are the “Folk & Pop Songs of the 60′s & 70′s”, some of the greatest songs ever written in this genre. You know… the songs of Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens, Joni Mitchell, Beatles, John Denver, Crosby-Stills-and Nash, etc. The addition of a vocal harmony pedal in 2016 has produced extraordinary results, sounding more like an acoustic group with very tight vocals than a soloist.

These songs need to remembered and kept alive through performance. In addition to the music, the messages can be profound.

Marc now performs as a solo artist and his musical services are available for private parties, restaurants, events of every kind, concert performances, background music, retirement communities, coffee houses, etc.

About Hiroya:

Hiroya Tsukamoto is an innovative guitarist and composer fuses folk, jazz, and world music. Born and raised in Japan, in 2000 he received a scholarship to Berklee College of music and came to the U.S.

“In terms of musicianship, Tsukamoto’s guitar work was just ridiculous. Right from the beginning of his first song, it was obvious that the folks in Bernunzio’s were in for a treat. His brand of finger style guitar is so intricate, and so blazingly fast at the same time, I kept imagining how many clones I would need to make of myself to accurately replicate his sound. One song that drove that point home was his set opener, “From Coast to Coast,” a song that had some of the fastest harmonic runs I’ve heard,” wrote Trevor Lewis of the Rochester City News.

Tsukamoto’s instrumental abilities are indeed breathtaking and astounding, but his performances are so much more than that. He has the unique capability of engaging an audience thru a personable and genuine approach that transfixes his audience and almost transcends his capabilities as a guitarist. Audience members will be mesmerized; Tsukamoto plays with an effortless skill on the guitar and a repertoire that will have you traveling the world, not to mention experiencing new sounds with his own compositions.

Tsukamoto headlines concerts throughout the U.S. as well as internationally including Blue Note in NYC and Japanese National Television. Most recently, Hiroya won 2nd place in International Finger-Style Guitar Championship in 2018.
