Hi SJARMS members and friends,

Marybeth Johns is our featured performer for our July member meeting on Monday July 11, 2022 at 7 pm at the Medford Memorial Community Center at 21 South Main Street, Medford, NJ.
The meeting is free to current SJARMS members and is $10 at the door to guests and visitors. More information on SJARMS and membership can be found at sjarms.com.

Please park in the gravel lot behind the Center and enter the building through the back porch entrance. After Marybeth’s performance we will have time for an all-level acoustic jam until 9:25pm. As usual we can split up into rooms by genre of music: Song Circle, Old-Time, Bluegrass, etc.
Just a reminder, SJARMS is allowed to use the first floor only. We do not have access to the 2nd floor of the building.

Marybeth has performed all over the South Jersey area, including the Burlington County Amphitheater, Music By the Bay events, Lower Forge Brewery, many Farmer’s Markets, seasonal fairs, solo performances, and even busking. She has been a member of The Woodshop Band, Fiddlin’ Around, and The Song Sisters, in addition to her solo performances.
Marybeth recently shared her Bio with SJARMS:
“ Before learning to play guitar, I took piano lessons from age 7-14 I decided classical music wasn’t for me, so I started teaching myself guitar. I spent my early guitar-playing years listening to The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell and many others who influenced me. I couldn’t get enough of listening to the latest albums of my favorite artists or turning on FM radio and discovering new music. Over the years I found out through my dad that his paternal grandparents were both street musicians in Italy. My dad played piano by ear and my youngest sister became an accomplished pianist. Many thanks to the SJARMS board members for allowing me the opportunity to play for my fellow SJARMS musicians.”

There may be some members present who are vaccinated and some members who are not vaccinated. We would like to urge you to assess your own level of risk: if you would like to wear a mask or take other precautionary measures such as social distancing you are welcome to do so.
